SWORN TRANSLATION

In Spain, sworn translation is an official translation certified by a translator duly authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. It certifies that the translation is 100% accurate to the source text. The authorised sworn translator signs and stamps the translation to certify this.

Sworn translations are usually required if the document is going to be submitted to a public or official body, schools or universities, courts, etc. Moreover, contracts between two companies often require a sworn translation in order to ensure the truthfulness and impartiality of the document.
